Green Gables is a quiet neighborhood perfect for families, with a rich history and strong sense of community. Green Gables is divided into several areas; Duveneck-St. Francis, Embarcadero Oaks, Leland Manor, Triple El and Garland. Residents can walk or jog on Embarcadero Road, play golf at the nearby courses or spend the afternoon at Baylands Nature Preserve. Homes vary by size and prices in Green Gables, there is one that is perfect for you.

The largest area is Duveneck-St. Francis and is located next to Crescent Park. Here, you will find luxurious homes. The focal point of this area is Duveneck Elementary School, this school is known for its impeccable academic records.

Embarcadero Oaks boasts homes designed by the famous architect, Birge Clark. These homes are preserved classics, nestled among sycamore trees. Every year this area comes to life during Christmas, Fulton Street is transformed into a Winter Wonderland.

If you have small children, Leland Manor might be the area for your next home. Its unique layout uses cul-de-sacs to discourage high vehicular traffic.

The Triple El area is where you will find homes designed by Joseph Eichler. Eichler designed homes to blend into the outdoors, a perfect marriage of construction and nature. These homes are all single story and were built mid-century. Chinese Elm trees, as old as the houses themselves, line the streets.

Garland is another area that offers quiet cul-de-sacs. These homes were built during the post-war boom, offering a glimpse of the past. Most of these homes have been renovated by homeowners, the interiors beautifully updated.
